Job Title: Plant Financial Manager

The Plant Financial Manager position is a critical role within our manufacturing facility located in New Holland, PA. This position is responsible for financial management, asset control, plant accounting, and operational performance reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform monthly closing process, including preparing journal entries and reports.
  • Evaluate and update inventory reserves.
  • Analyze monthly plant cost center spend detail.
  • Analyze spare parts spending and related inventory.
  • Compile plant production and labor statistics.
  • Provide cost-related information for new product and capital spend projects.
  • Provide guidance on proper classification of spending, capital versus expense.
  • Update Bill of Materials and Routings when necessary.
  • Create and maintain Standard Costs for plant products.
  • Complete annual unit standard cost update, including development of direct labor, variable overhead, and tech structure rates.
  • Work with plant and warehouse personnel to identify cost-saving initiatives and areas for improvement.
  • Support plant manager in preparation of labor, variable overhead, and tech structure budgets.
  • Implement and improve internal controls necessary to safeguard plant assets and accurately report results of operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • At least 5 years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing standard cost and accounting systems.
