Job Summary

As a Field Service Engineer III at Applied Materials, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading semiconductor equipment at customer sites around the globe. This is a senior-level role that requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission leading-edge semiconductor equipment at customer sites
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance on equipment
• Upgrade equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Follow procedures and published task plans to test equipment and diagnose technical problems
• Complete required job documentation, safety training, and procedures for processing parts
• Represent Applied Materials professionally to customers, using a customer-first approach

Requirements

• Associate degree in electronics or engineering technologies, or equivalent work experience
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
• Clear and effective written/verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on documenting details
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, and/or thermodynamics
• Strong knowledge of hand tools and proper usage, including a digital multimeter

Preferred Qualifications

• 4-7 years of work experience in the semiconductor industry or another equipment support industry

What to Expect

• Work on rotation and in shifts to ensure ongoing customer support
• Ability to lift at least 35 lbs, work in a clean room environment, and perform physical tasks as required
• Valid driver's license and passport required
