We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Airport Customer Service Agent to join our team at GAT Airline Ground Support. As a key member of our airport operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to passengers, ensuring a smooth and efficient travel experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Customer Service: Greet and assist all customers in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner over the phone and in person.
- Flight Announcements: Announce both incoming and outbound flights to ensure passengers are aware of their flight status.
- Baggage Handling: Handle credit cards, personal checks, and process checked baggage weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Jetway Operations: Operate jetways to place them in position prior to aircraft arrival and lift, open, close, and secure aircraft doors.
- Computer Systems: Use airline computer systems to provide flight arrival and departure information, ticketing, and flight boarding documents.
- Escorting Passengers: Escort unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Language: Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods of time and occasionally lift bags or items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
- Communication Skills: Possess good communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality in person and via telephone.
This is a fast-paced environment with time constraints to meet published departure goals. A professional and positive image must be consistently displayed by the employee.
