Radiation Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join our team at Brigham & Women's Hospital (BWH). As a key member of our Radiation Oncology department, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the safe and accurate administration of radiation therapy treatments.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care and Education: Provide daily patient care and education, involving patients and their families in care decisions and maintaining confidentiality and modesty.
- Treatment Administration: Administer radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely, monitoring patient responses and reactions, and referring patients for appropriate management as needed.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily maintenance and quality assurance checks on equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and patient safety.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document treatment delivery information in the electronic medical record (EMR) and maintain accurate records of patient care.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with physicians, management, peers, patients, and their families to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Education and Certification: Valid Massachusetts State License in Radiation Therapy and valid ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy.
- Skills and Abilities: Proficient technical knowledge and skill set, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional Development: Participate in regular continuing education activities and attend staff meetings to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in radiation oncology.
