Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Maxonic. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks, including repairs to doors, windows, roofs, and other building parts. You will also assist in assembling furniture and other wood and metal structures, install and maintain master locking systems, and perform electrical and plumbing repairs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, inspecting, and repairing equipment and facilities.
  • Assist in the installation and maintenance of electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Perform repairs to doors, windows, roofs, and other building parts.
  • Assist in the assembly and installation of furniture and other wood and metal structures.
  • Install and maintain master locking systems and keying programs.
  • Perform daily checks and inspections of exterior lighting, grounds, and irrigation systems.
  • Assist contractors when access to buildings is needed.
  • Schedule routine and emergency maintenance of company vehicles.
  • Update various documents, including work orders related to labor and/or materials.
  • Obtain bids for projects for approval.
  • Be available for emergency call-back and standby duty.
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality records.
  • Participate in ongoing training to maintain and update personal skills and knowledge.
  • Utilize computerized work order system.
Requirements
  • High school graduate preferred.
  • Valid California Driver's License required.
  • 2-3 years' experience in electro-mechanical systems repair and maintenance.
  • Experience in the hospitality and healthcare industries is helpful.
  • Basic working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel computer programs.
  • Ability to conduct internet searches and read blueprints.
  • Ability to move, lift, and deliver light furniture as needed.
  • Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
