Job Summary:

The Senior Maintenance Technician is a key member of our multifamily team, responsible for delivering exceptional maintenance services to our residents. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepares make-ready apartments, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, and general repairs, to ensure a quality move-in experience for our residents.
  • Assists the Property Manager with maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly inspection logs on mechanicals and equipment.
  • Conducts move-in, move-out, and annual apartment inspections to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Hands-on maintenance of building mechanical systems, fire systems, and property grounds.
  • Supervises maintenance staff and vendors to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Responds to resident requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintains knowledge of maintenance functions, including plumbing, HVAC, basic electric, general carpentry skills, painting, and snow removal.
  • Ensures grounds, pools, hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities are clean, operational, and safe for residents.
  • Reports any maintenance concerns on vacant units, models, and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Performs maintenance as scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Knowledgeable of state, local, and federal fair housing laws.
  • Attends and participates in training programs as required by Cushman & Wakefield.
  • Performs all duties as assigned in a timely manner.
  • Delivers superior customer service and represents the company in a professional manner.
  • Dresses according to Cushman & Wakefield uniform and professional appearance standards.
  • Maintains all safety procedures and safeguards all company tools and equipment.
Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's license
  • EPA 60- Minimum Type II and CPO or local city required certificate
  • Ability to read and understand documents, such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to prepare and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature
  • Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Follow all safety procedures
Education:

High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school

Experience:

5+ years of related experience

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. Regularly required to travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to stand and walk for extended or continuous periods of time.

They must be able to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools and may be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions.

The employee may also be regularly required to remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) for 85% of the time; regularly operate office machinery.

The employee must be able to travel up to 10% of the time. Travel may vary in frequency and duration.

The employee must demonstrate the ability to exert up to 50 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds frequently, and/or up to 25 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
