Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team at ECHN. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing advanced-level CT exams, utilizing independent judgment and acquired knowledge to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assure patient clinical data matches exam type and follow up with doctor's office when necessary.
  • Assist radiologists in interventional procedures, coordinating patient medical needs with radiology nurses.
  • Screen female patients of childbearing age for pregnancy and demonstrate skill in IV insertion.
  • Document exams into radiology system for proper billing and maintain accurate patient flow.
  • Perform all types of CT scans, troubleshoot equipment issues, and maintain quality assurance in accordance with ACR guidelines.
  • Transport patients, review post-exam instructions, and demonstrate ability to troubleshoot electronic equipment.
  • Work cooperatively with department staff, sharing rotational call and holiday hours, and exhibiting core values at all times.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and graduate of an ARRT-approved radiological technology school program.
  • Registration and certification with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists and licensure with the State of Connecticut.
  • Advanced certification from the ARRT in Computerized Tomography within one year of hire.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification upon hire and maintenance of clinical competency.
Competencies
  • Full knowledge of CT exams and interventional procedures.
  • Complete working knowledge of physics, anatomy, medical terminology, sterile technique, and radiation protection.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write effectively in the English language.
