Job Summary

The Championship Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting and assisting with the administration of overall event marketing, sales, client service, and customer relationship management (CRM) goals for the event, ensuring compliance with PGA of America guidelines and expectations are met or exceeded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely alongside the Corporate Sales & Marketing Lead and PGA of America Championship sales, marketing, Interactive, Technology, and Communication team members on the administration of all marketing and sales activities.
  • Coordinate integrated omni-channel marketing communications planning, including coordination of local and national advertising, public relations, and digital marketing agencies to meet or exceed event revenue goals with an emphasis on digital platforms and strategy.
  • Collaborate with local team members, provide support to the event sales committee by attending meetings, assisting in the preparation of agendas, notifying committee members of meeting dates/times, securing space and refreshments for meetings, following up with committee members on clients they have contacted, etc.
  • Define and track deliverables by mapping the customer journey and marketing touch-points, defining a marketing calendar, and defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to report against.
  • Leverage all marketing and sales channel relationships with and from the host venue.
  • Develop new ideas, strategies, and technologies that will assist in meeting or exceeding our goals.
  • Work closely alongside the PGA Championship sales, marketing, Interactive, Technology, and Communication team members on the development, planning, and administration of all corporate hospitality and ticket holder client service/CRM activities.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Three years of sales and marketing experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities
  • Must have knowledge and keep pace with ever-changing marketing, sales, and CRM management technologies within the sports and special events industry.
  • Ability to identify and execute marketing and sales strategies and activities.
  • Ability to monitor client needs and take appropriate action.
  • Ability to foster strong relationships and build a sense of a collaborative team commitment.
  • Ability to monitor targets, carry-out growth plans, and capture new business.
  • Ability to utilize an awareness of industry marketing and corporate hospitality and entertainment trends.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Google G-Suite, Salesforce, Asana, MailChimp, etc.
Working Conditions

Some travel required. Ability to stand for extended periods (6+ hours per day). Ability to work overtime, including weekends (sometimes up to 15 hours a day).

Relocation

Relocation to Newton Square, PA or surrounding area is necessary.
