Key Responsibilities:
The Internal Auditor will be instrumental in assessing the effectiveness of internal controls across various sectors, including Finance and Information Security. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading control self-assessment exercises in collaboration with corporate and operational teams.
  • Developing a thorough understanding of internal control frameworks and best practices.
  • Reviewing documentation and evidence for key controls, assessing their effectiveness, and identifying improvement areas.
  • Analyzing findings from self-assessments and collaborating with stakeholders to create remediation plans.
  • Guiding teams involved in self-assessment activities and providing training on methodologies.
  • Communicating results and recommendations to stakeholders and monitoring remediation implementation.

Audit Engagements:
Responsibilities also include:

  • Leading and participating in all phases of internal audit engagements.
  • Conducting thorough testing of internal controls to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Documenting audit procedures and findings in accordance with professional standards.
  • Engaging with management to discuss audit outcomes and support remediation efforts.
  • Contributing to special projects and handling ad hoc assignments as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications such as CIA, CISA, or CPA are preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in internal audit or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of internal control frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Information Security and IT General Controls is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
