About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our team at Essner Manufacturing. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in the production process, ensuring that our aerospace and defense products meet the highest standards of quality and precision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and Inspection: Fit up and assemble parts and components, using fixtures, jigs, templates, and measuring instruments to ensure accurate and precise results.
  • Technical Expertise: Follow Engineering Assembly guidelines and provide technical feedback for Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) to ensure that our products meet the latest specifications.
  • Fastening and Assembly: Drill, tap, ream, countersink, and bolt, rivet, or otherwise fasten detail parts into structural assemblies, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Quality Control: Inspect, measure, verify, and approve assemblies and paperwork according to blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, and customer requirements.
  • Adhesive Application: Mix and use various adhesives per Engineered routing/customer specification(s) to ensure strong and durable bonds.
  • Defect Identification: Identify defects in hardware, details, and assemblies, and report them to the Production Supervisor or Operations Management team.
  • Team Collaboration: Periodically assist in other production areas at the discretion of the Production Supervisor or Operations Management team to ensure a smooth and efficient production process.
Requirements
  • Basic Qualification: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • U.S. Person Status: Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • ITAR Compliance: This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturing Experience: 6 years of experience in manufacturing.
  • Engineering Drawing Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings.
  • Aerospace Assembly Experience: 3 years of experience in aerospace assembly.
