Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records by implementing and maintaining effective internal controls in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statements.
  • Develop and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections, ensuring optimal cash flow management.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, aligning departmental goals and strategic objectives.
  • Monitor and manage cash balances, ensuring adequate liquidity and minimizing financial risk.
  • Oversee project costs and profitability, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
  • Manage inventory processes, including valuation, reconciliation, and physical inventory counts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Initiate and lead projects to enhance accounting efficiency and profitability, leveraging best practices and industry benchmarks.
  • Calculate and remit sales taxes for multiple states, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  • Lead and support external audits and reviews, ensuring seamless collaboration with external auditors.
  • Prepare and present Return on Investment (ROI) analyses to support business cases and capital investments.
  • Manage institutional investment funds, ensuring optimal investment returns and risk management.
  • Process government requests for data, including US Census and EEOC reports, ensuring timely and accurate compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, implementing best practices and enhancing efficiency.
  • Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment of employee wages and benefits.

Qualifications
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting, with a strong background in accounting and finance.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required, with a strong emphasis on financial reporting and analysis.
  • CPA certification required, with a strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulations.
  • Thorough knowledge of financial systems, including general ledger, financial reporting, and accounting software.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, with experience in data analysis and financial modeling.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence and relational databases, with a strong understanding of data visualization and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting.
  • Experience with 401k and profit-sharing processing, with a strong understanding of employee benefits and compensation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, with strong organizational and time management skills.
