Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records by implementing and maintaining effective internal controls in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statements and reports.
  • Develop and analyze financial models, providing insights into the company's performance and trends to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections, ensuring cash flow management and minimizing financial risks.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with departmental and strategic goals.
  • Monitor and manage cash balances, ensuring adequate liquidity and minimizing financial risks.
  • Oversee inventory processes, including valuation, reconciliation, and physical inventory counts, to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Manage payroll processing, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting, with a strong background in accounting and finance.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required, with a CPA certification.
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP, operational accounting, and financial reporting.
  • High degree of comfort and familiarity with general ledger, financial reporting, and other accounting systems.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills required, with experience in Business Intelligence and/or relational databases.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting.
  • Experience with 401k and profit-sharing processing desired.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
