We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at RWJBarnabas Health. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Screen requisitions to ensure proper exams are being ordered and proper prep is called to the Nurse taking care of the patient.
- Ensure proper work flow is being maintained.
- Maintain positive relationship between Radiologist and sonographers.
- Assist Lead Technologist and Supervisor in the day to day operation.
- Primary person ensuring proper steps are taken in the documentation process of ultrasound exams (tracking/dictation of exam in timely manner).
- Initiate service calls and documents.
- Train fellow sonographers and students with complex and/or new techniques.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Graduate of an Accredited Ultrasound School.
- ARDMS Certification required.
- Must be CPR certified.
- Minimum three years experience in a hospital setting performing the following preferred: Abdomen, OB/GYN, Small Parts, Thyroid, Vascular, Pediatric, Biopsies and Interventional Procedures.
- RVT.
