Job Title: Bus Driver

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Bus Driver to transport pupils in a safe and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have a valid Commercial Driver's License and a minimum of safe driving experience as determined by the board.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct pre-trip safety inspections of the bus prior to every trip and complete the School Bus Condition Report.
* Notify the bus mechanic of any mechanical malfunctions and/or safety hazards.
* Perform interior bus cleaning duties daily, clean windows and exterior as needed, and refuel the vehicle.
* Participate in emergency evacuation drills in accordance with administrative code and board policy.
* Adhere to established routes, designated bus stops, and keep to assigned time schedules.
* Transport only authorized pupils and ensure that all students have left the bus at the end of the route.
* Obeys all traffic laws and observes mandatory school bus safety regulations.

Requirements:

* Valid Commercial Driver's License
* Minimum safe driving experience as determined by the board
* Sufficient mechanical aptitude to diagnose minor problems and make appropriate repairs
* Ability to maintain passenger discipline to ensure their safety and well-being
* Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status

Working Conditions:

* Ten (10) Months; September 1 to June 30
* Bargaining Unit: TFSSA
* Evaluation: In accordance with board policy
