About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Ultimate Software. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our cloud-based services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions
  • Develop and maintain automated testing and deployment scripts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Improve system performance and efficiency through process refinement and automation
  • Participate in incident response and on-call rotations
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience coding in higher-level languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, C++, or Java)
  • Knowledge of cloud-based applications and containerization technologies
  • Demonstrated understanding of best practices in metric generation and collection, log aggregation pipelines, time-series databases, and distributed tracing
  • Demonstrable fundamentals in 2 of the following: Computer Science, Cloud Architecture, Security, or Network Design fundamentals
  • Engineering degree, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working experience with industry standards like Terraform, Ansible
  • Working experience with Grafana, DataDog and/or Splunk
  • GCP experience
