Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our Neurology team at UW Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our team of neurology professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality patient care in a compassionate environment
  • Assist with the setup of various in-clinic procedures
  • Perform patient care duties, including taking vital signs and reviewing medications and allergies
  • Support our team of neurology professionals in providing comprehensive consultation, evaluation, and treatment of neurological disorders
Requirements
  • Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent and ONE of the following: Completion of an accredited medical assistant program, Licensure as an LPN, Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program, Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee, Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated, or One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification
  • Preferred - One (1) year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN
  • Certified as CMA, RMA, or CCMA or eligible for certification. Certification must be obtained within one (1) year of hire date.
  • CPR/BLS certification
