Medical Assistant Opportunity at Water's Edge Dermatology

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Water's Edge Dermatology, a leading premier medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology practice in Florida. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our providers by performing both clinical and administrative duties to ensure a high standard of patient care and clinic efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians in providing quality care to patients, including conducting patient intake, reviewing medical history, and preparing patients for exams and procedures.
  • Provide side-by-side assistance with surgical procedures and ensure a sterile and safe environment.
  • Offer patient education on skincare routines, treatment plans, and post-procedure care.
  • Collaborate with providers and staff to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information in our electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Ensure the clinical area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant (MA), certification preferred but not required.
  • Hands-on experience in a clinic setting, with a preference for dermatology or surgical experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and organization skills.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and general office software.
  • Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others, patients, and co-workers.
