About the Role

Amazon Health is seeking a Senior UX Designer to play a key role in shaping the user experience for our healthcare products and services.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a multifaceted Design team and contribute to the development of innovative solutions that inspire, motivate, and educate our audience in the healthcare space.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the design process for complex user experiences, from research and strategy to prototyping and testing.
  2. Conduct in-depth user research through methods like interviews, usability testing, and analytics to deeply understand user needs and pain points.
  3. Create detailed user journeys, information architecture, wireframes, and high-fidelity interactive prototypes.
  4. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to ensure designs meet business requirements and technical feasibility.
  5. Champion a user-centered design approach throughout the organization and advocate for the needs of users.
  6. Mentor and provide guidance to more junior designers, helping to develop their skills and design thinking.
  7. Stay up-to-date with the latest UX trends, best practices, and design tools, and apply innovative solutions to complex design problems.
  8. Continuously evaluate and improve the overall UX of products and services through ongoing user feedback and performance analysis.
  9. Effectively communicate design decisions and rationale to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  10. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the org's design system and UI library.

Basic Qualifications
  1. Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices.
  2. 7+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Fluent in best practices for information architecture and interaction design, user-centered design process, as well as strong knowledge of user experience principles and techniques.
  2. Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs.
  3. Have strong practical knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, usability principles, web-based information architecture, and design.
  4. Able to move quickly in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  5. Naturally curious and find inspiration beyond the screen; through the people you talk to, analogous experiences, and beyond.
  6. Have experience designing services and delivering UX solutions for projects of large scope and complexity.
  7. Have experience owning projects, communicating timelines, aligning stakeholders, and executing independently.
  8. Confidently present a strong rationale for design decisions and rely on analytics and data (including qualitative data) to shape product decisions and track the effectiveness of change.
  9. Solid written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  10. Fluent in using Figma and prototyping tools.

The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company.
