Mitchell Hamline School of Law is a leader in pedagogical innovation, dedicated to expanding access to high-quality legal education. We are seeking a tenure-track or tenured faculty member to join our team and contribute to our mission.
About the PositionWe are particularly interested in candidates with an interest in teaching in our clinics, externships, or other skills courses. Our law school has a robust skills curriculum with required simulation courses in advocacy and problem-solving, as well as a nationally ranked clinic program that serves students both locally and in our innovative blended learning program.
Responsibilities- Maintain and enhance our national presence in the clinic, externship, and skills teaching community.
- Help us re-design our introductory and upper-level skills program in response to the NextGen bar examination and alternative bar licensing pathways.
- Contribute to our existing institutes, including the Center for Law and Business, the Dispute Resolution Institute, the Health Law Institute, the Institute to Transform Child Protection, the Intellectual Property Institute, and the Native American Law and Sovereignty Institute.
Candidates must have a J.D. or foreign equivalent degree. We seek faculty members with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service who will further our mission to provide high-quality legal education and pedagogical innovation.

About Our Law SchoolMitchell Hamline School of Law is located in an historic area of Saint Paul on the Indigenous homelands of the Dakota Oyate.
