About the Role and the Organization:
The Voter Education Project is seeking motivated individuals to fill the role of Political Phone Texter. This position is essential for our outreach efforts, where you will engage with potential voters and supporters through text messaging campaigns. This role provides an excellent opportunity to actively participate in our political initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute outbound text messaging campaigns aimed at connecting with potential voters and advocates.
  • Engage in conversations to inform, persuade, and inspire individuals to support our cause or candidate.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication in line with campaign messaging protocols.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information regarding the campaign, its initiatives, and events.
  • Maintain detailed records of interactions and feedback from contacts.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet outreach goals and objectives.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to remain updated on campaign strategies and messaging.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the political landscape and current issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities with a knack for building relationships.
  • A genuine interest in and knowledge of political issues and campaigns.
  • Familiarity with text messaging platforms and related technology.
  • Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping capabilities.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and campaign strategies.
  • Previous experience in political outreach, canvassing, or phone banking is a plus.

Compensation:

$22 per hour
