Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with DevOps Expertise

At Core Defender, we're seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead our infrastructure and deployment pipelines. With 5+ years of experience in cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, improve system reliability, and support scalable, secure architectures.

We offer a competitive compensation package, including $170,000 per year for full-time employees and $105 per hour for contractors.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement efficient and reliable software delivery using CI/CD pipelines
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) to support scalable applications
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Monitor and improve system reliability, performance, and availability using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack
  • Automate deployment, scaling, and management of application environments
  • Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Collaborate with development and security teams to ensure best practices in DevSecOps
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues, network problems, and deployment errors
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in DevOps and cloud computing
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving team workflows and standards

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a related role
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) with strong knowledge of services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
  • Strong skills in managing containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go) for automation
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or ELK Stack
  • Solid understanding of networking, security protocols, and system architecture
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git and branching strategies
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
