Job Title: Emergency Medical Technician 2

At Inova, we are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medical Technician 2 to join our team in the Adult Emergency Department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support our mission to deliver world-class healthcare to our communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide cardiac monitoring and testing to patients in the Adult Emergency Department.
  • Apply orthopedic splinting devices to patients as needed.
  • Collect patient specimens following department and facility policies and procedures.
  • Provide wound care according to department clinical practice standards.
  • Act as a resource to physicians and nurses to provide patients with optimum care.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies to optimize delivery of patient care and treatment.
  • Assist with patient transport for testing, admission/discharge, interfacility, and aeromedical purposes.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of EMT-B experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • BLS and EMT-B certification; must be active on the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) or possess a current Virginia EMT License/Certification.
Training:

Candidate must be able to attend six week training orientation upon hire.
