We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician 2 to join our team at Inova Fairfax Hospital. As a key member of our Pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient procurement and distribution of medications to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies and procedures.
- Accurately pre-pack medications, restock assigned areas, and put away unused medications.
- Prepare IV Admixtures and sterile compounding using aseptic technique and accurate calculations.
- Document on hood cleaning logs, temperature logs, and other records as required.
- Take ownership of the control, accountability, and distribution of controlled drugs in the Pharmacy.
- One (1) year of experience working in a hospital as a Pharmacy Technician required.
- IV experience preferred.
- High School or GED.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.
