Job Summary:

The Pharmacist Clinical Leader will perform all duties of a licensed pharmacist, ensuring the safety, security, and integrity of all medication. They will also ensure strict adherence to all laws and regulations governing the dispensing and sale of pharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviews prescriptions issued by a physician or other authorized prescriber to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication, strength, dose, and directions of use.
  • Evaluates and answers questions, providing patients/customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage of medications.
  • Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of drugs designated as hazardous waste.
  • Instructs interns, students, and other personnel on matters pertaining to pharmacy.
  • Directs and oversees all pharmacy personnel engaged in labeling, packaging, and mixing pharmaceuticals.
  • Ensures that the pharmacy complies with the HIPAA laws/rules/regulations, the laws/rules/regulations of the board of pharmacy and/or regulatory agencies, and abides by and enforces all company policies and procedures fairly and consistently.
  • Administers vaccinations as appropriate, following established professional, federal, and state protocols.
  • Fosters a harmonious positive work environment and provides a safe and sanitary environment for customers and associates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university of Pharmacy.
  • Active state pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Vaccination certified.
  • Able to work regularly scheduled shifts Monday-Friday 8am-8pm and Sat-Sun 8am-5:30pm.
  • Proficient in computer use, word processing, and system software.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
