Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team at Wm Bolthouse Farms Inc. As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our beverages and other products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily audits of production procedures to ensure compliance with established guidelines and regulations.
  • Perform analytical analysis of in-process and finished goods to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Collaborate with the QC Supervisor and production personnel to address any quality or safety issues that arise.
  • Sample collection, operation of lab equipment, data analysis and entry, and shipment of samples.
  • Obtain and examine product retain shelf life samples to ensure quality and safety.
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Perform pre-operational, in-process, and post-operational food safety and plant sanitation audits to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform microbiological and ATP swabbing of plant equipment and facilities to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Place product on hold if deviations from standards occur and complete corrective actions for deviations from standards.
  • Enforce plant QA, hygiene, and GMP policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Obtain product retain samples for further evaluation and complete all quality paperwork in both hard copy and electronic format.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite: Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and be self-motivated and able to perform multiple tasks.
  • Ability to communicate in English, including writing, speaking, and reading, and reasonable Spanish desired but not mandatory.
  • Must be teamwork oriented, communicate and interact well with others, and utilize Bolthouse Farms standard operating procedures to prepare and/or analyze various parameters.
  • Ability to taste and evaluate finished products and differentiate colors to examine product quality differences.
  • Dependable and able to work flexible hours, including weekends, and knowledge of math and science concepts.
  • Detail-oriented and have a good writing ability for clear record-keeping.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-2 years' experience in food manufacturing or food production preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands
  • The work environment for this position will be typical of the manufacturing facility, with portions of the job requiring working in cold and warm environments, loud environments, in proximity of chemicals, and in the laboratory environment.
  • Must be able to work in a wet, cold, or hot environment and lift 25-50 pounds.
Work Schedule
  • 2nd Shift (2:00 PM-10:30 PM) when business requires overtime and weekends will be mandatory.
