About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Carilion Clinic as a Maintenance Generalist, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of mechanical and preventive maintenance tasks, as well as inspections, installations, and repairs of equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and resolve maintenance issues, collaborating with other facility personnel to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Perform general construction and maintenance tasks, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of walls, ceilings, floors, mechanical equipment, and fixtures.
  • Read and interpret drawings and blueprints, mechanical, structural, and electrical.
  • Monitor and inspect work to ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
  • Document and maintain all required records and information pertinent to assignments and work orders.
  • Train and orient new employees to expand department capabilities.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Five years of experience in a maintenance-related field (electrical, mechanical, HVACR, etc.) required.
  • Valid Virginia Driver's License preferred for positions in hospitals and required for Property Maintenance positions.
