SKIDATA USA, a global leader in access control solutions, is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Specialist to join our Support Center team in Los Angeles, CA.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of SKIDATA installations across North America. This includes analyzing and resolving technical issues, providing training and support, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for incident and problem management for customers, field service technicians, engineers, dealers, and integration partners.
  • Analyze systems to deliver insights that improve their performance.
  • Identify potential problems to prevent incidents on SKIDATA and integrated third-party products.
  • Reproduce issues to ensure high-quality change requests to quality assurance (3rd level).
  • Resolve customer issues to their satisfaction.
  • Support on-site installations upon request.
  • Ensure excellent support through available tools.
  • Create technical documentation, training materials, and conduct trainings.
  • Transfer knowledge to colleagues, subsidiaries, and partners where possible.
  • Continuously improve knowledge and experience.
  • Collaborate with other teams on technical matters.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical degree (hardware and/or software)
  • Ideal experience of several years in the IT industry
  • Knowledge of IT and software architectures (Client/Server, Cloud Systems)
  • Proficient knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux)
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with databases (MS SQL, Oracle) and SQL queries
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with cloud services
  • Proficient knowledge and experience in configuring and troubleshooting computer networks and firewalls

Travel Requirements

You should be willing to travel up to 25% of the time, both domestically and internationally, to share ideas and work with various teams across the US and abroad.
