Job Description

Connecticut State Community College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Director of Education Technology. This position plays a critical role in enhancing learning opportunities for the college's publics, faculty, and students through effective performance in instructional technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, oversee, and implement instructional technology in collaboration with the Director of Information Technology.
  • Develop and deliver programs for faculty and staff on the use of instructional technologies, including course management systems.
  • Administer the assigned operational area effectively and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Instructional Technology or a related field, plus one year of related experience.
  • Proven ability to work with culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and students.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong information technology literacy skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching students or faculty in a learning management system.
  • Experience in a direct customer service setting.
  • Experience in media production for online and campus-based courses.
