We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our Oncology team at Rutland Regional Medical Center. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join our dynamic team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients.

About the Role

This full-time position involves providing clinical leadership and direction to our oncology team, ensuring high-quality patient care and exceptional service standards. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing clinical policies, procedures, and guidelines, as well as supervising and mentoring staff members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide medical leadership and oversight to the oncology team, ensuring adherence to established standards and protocols.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and guidelines that promote best practices and optimize patient outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success in delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including referrals, consultations, and treatment plans.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and institutional policies.

Requirements

  • Degree in Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Medical Doctor in Vermont.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology medicine, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.

What We Offer

Rutland Regional Medical Center offers a competitive salary range of $175,000 to $225,000 per year, based on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth and development.
