About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Merchandise Coordinator to join our team at HomeGoods. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient processing and merchandising of products on our sales floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute receiving and merchandising standards to ensure timely and accurate processing of merchandise.
  • Train and mentor associates on established merchandising and processing principles to ensure a high level of customer service.
  • Communicate effectively with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
  • Monitor productivity of the team and provide coaching as necessary to ensure tasks are completed according to store plan.
  • Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment and maintain all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area.
  • Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs, and promote a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Partner with management to identify and address training needs to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
Requirements
  • 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
  • Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and responding to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Team player with excellent customer service skills.
