This role involves managing and investigating live security incidents. Cyber Security Incident Responders work independently or collaboratively, acting as subject matter experts who aim to enhance security processes and procedures, identifying opportunities to boost the organization's security posture and driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and provide expert technical support to enterprise-wide cyber defense specialists to resolve cyber defense incidents (20%)
  • Correlate incident data to identify specific vulnerabilities and make recommendations for expeditious remediation (20%)
  • Perform analysis of log files from various sources to identify threats to network security (20%)
  • Conduct cyber defense incident triage, determine scope, urgency, and potential impact, and make recommendations for quick remediation (10%)
  • Perform cyber defense trend analysis and reporting (10%)
  • Conduct forensically sound collection of images and inspect for possible remediation on enterprise systems (5%)
  • Handle real-time cyber defense incidents to support Incident Response Teams (IRTs) (5%)
  • Receive and analyze network alerts to determine causes (5%)
  • Track and document cyber defense incidents from initial detection to resolution (5%)

Requirements

Required

  • 3 years of experience in Malware Analysis, Digital Forensics, Data/Network Analysis, Penetration Testing, or Information Assurance
  • 3 years of Cyber Incident Handling
