About the Role

PDS Health is seeking a highly skilled Epic Operations Senior Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for designing, building, testing, maintaining, and deploying the Cadence, Prelude, Referrals, RTE, and SER modules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Application Software Support: Plan, implement, and support application software, hardware, operating systems, and distributed operations systems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Workflow Analysis: Work on initiatives to analyze workflows and develop and define IT solutions for improved system integration and functionality.
  • Project Management: Oversee parts of multiple large-scale, complex initiatives and contribute to the development of new projects at all levels of scope and complexity.
  • User Training: Design and conduct user training in system workflows and processes.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot escalated issues with software, hardware, operating systems, and identify and coordinate service and support as needed.
  • Policy Development: Participate in the development of complete, concise, and comprehensive policies and operational procedures.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members and key stakeholders to build test plans for integration testing and modify workflow due to new releases and system upgrades.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Conduct knowledge transfer sessions on system functionality that can benefit the broader team.
  • System Configuration: Develop and modify system configurations that comply with design needs.
  • Integration and Testing: Work closely with business users and applications team to design, build, and execute a comprehensive integration and user acceptance test plan and scripts.
  • Process Improvement: Plan and develop improvements in functionality and efficiency of applications.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Identify, document, and cross-coordinate reporting needs and maintain system documentation to enable ongoing support of the system.
  • Issue Tracking: Maintain day-to-day tracking and follow-up on issues and questions of daily operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in Healthcare, Nursing, Business, Computer/Information Sciences, or an equivalent level of professional experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of recent Epic experience.
  • Certifications: Certified in Epic Prelude and RTE (Cadence and Referrals certification recommended).
  • Skills: Strong understanding of functionality related to the application workstream, strong computer skills, and ability to travel quarterly as required.
  • Availability: Must be able to provide on-call support (24/7) and work after hours and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Epic Certifications: At least 2 Epic certifications in job-related workstream.
  • Business Experience: Experience in business information system management in a healthcare setting.
  • License and Certifications: Any certifications relating to software applications, technology infrastructure, and/or clinical specializations.
  • Knowledge of Dental Operations: Knowledge of dental operations and structure, general requirements in an integrated delivery system, and use of IT applications in the practicing healthcare environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Technical Expertise: Comfortable with advanced levels of build, operational workflows, and configuration related to Imports & Exports, Rule Editor, Batch Jobs, Registration, and Eligibility, Community Connect, Quarterly Upgrades.
  • System Knowledge: Broad knowledge of 1-2 areas of focus in clinical or business application specialty area(s), knowledge of systems and functions, including design, development, implementation, user support and training, maintenance, quality assurance, and system testing and evaluation.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to apply skills as a seasoned applications professional to projects of medium size at all levels of complexity, or portions of large projects.
  • Communication: Strong problem-resolution skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose problems, and develop, test, and implement appropriate and effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Teamwork: Strong soft skills foundation, with the ability to effectively train, support, and work collaboratively with team members and users of information systems at all professional and technical levels.
  • Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented, with proven organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and see projects through to completion on deadline.
  • Technical Communication: Strong written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to convey technical information and instructions to all levels of application users in a specific, clear, and concise manner.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Strong analytical skills and knowledge in documentation and reporting, with the ability to design and execute tests, analyze system performance data, and produce substantive reports and analyses.
  • Leadership: Ability to work with senior staff and managers, serving as a technical resource and providing advice and counsel on issues of functionality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, policy, and performance.
  • EHR Systems: Understanding in the implementation and/or maintenance of EHR systems.
  • Technical Expertise: Technical expertise in subject matter areas demonstrated by documented experience in analysis, process design and workflow, research, installation/implementation, and support of EHR systems.
  • Functional Experience: IT or functional experience in one or more of the following areas is required: clinical, revenue, or operations.
  • Time Management: Ability to independently prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects and/or priorities.
  • Multi-Tasking: Ability to multi-task effectively without compromising the quality of the work.
