  • Evaluate the existing risk management program and offer insights to enhance the governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) processes;
  • Design and execute a training initiative aimed at empowering senior personnel and essential team members to effectively integrate risk management practices within their departments;
  • Provide strategic advice and practical expertise to interdisciplinary teams for the identification, evaluation, and management of risks;
  • Foster a culture of risk awareness and understanding of risk management principles through effective training and communication;
  • Assist in the formulation of risk and data governance policies;
  • Engage with stakeholders to pinpoint potential risks;
  • Collaborate closely with the GRC coordinator to ensure that all risk management activities align with industry best practices and standards;
  • Act as a subject matter expert in governance, risk, compliance, and controls within various working groups;
  • Identify and recommend enhancements for risk management processes;
  • Stay informed about industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in enterprise risk management.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in implementing enterprise risk management standards;
  • Proven ability to apply ERM standards across diverse areas including finance, taxation, and municipal services;
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Capability to think strategically and formulate actionable plans to meet complex objectives;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset;
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or certifications such as:
  • Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC);
  • Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT);
  • Project Management Institute - Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP);
  • Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA);
  • GRC Professional (GRCP);
  • Six Sigma certification.
