Treasury Financial Analyst Job Description

Associated Wholesale Grocers, Inc. (AWG) is seeking a highly skilled Treasury Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for planning and executing daily Treasury activities, including funds movement, investment options, credit card programs, loan facilities, FX, and hedging activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify opportunities for treasury-related business process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and support treasury policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and risk management.
  • Support special projects and acquisitions as assigned, working closely with department and company leadership.
  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of daily, weekly, period, and annual treasury processes.
  • Procure and establish proper treasury services with banking relationships, ensuring authorities are established and services are properly utilized.
  • Manage daily cash positioning and funds movement on all banking days, troubleshooting transaction issues as needed.
  • Perform periodic cost review of bank fees and negotiate treasury contracts with banks to optimize costs.
  • Administer online banking platforms and effectively work with internal business partners, including AR, AP, legal, tax, and IT.
  • Work with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and risk management.
  • Manage corporate card programs and develop, monitor, and update the treasury department budget.
  • Provide development, career progression, and succession environments for direct reports.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related field is required; an MBA is a plus.
  • Professional certification is preferred but not required (e.g., CTP, CPCP, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), GSuite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), and BI Tools (Power Bi, Tableau, etc.) is required; experience with PeopleSoft is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across diverse populations.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong project management skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and deadline pressures well.
  • Requires minimal direction in carrying out responsibilities.
  • Acute level of customer service skills.
