Job Summary

Fairview Range is seeking a highly skilled Security Officer to join our security department in Hibbing, MN. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors
  • Conduct crisis intervention and provide security and risk reduction
  • Demonstrate commitment to customers, fellow employees, and Fairview
Requirements
  • One year of security experience, two years of customer service experience, or Military Service
  • High School Diploma or higher
  • Pass BCA and FBI background check, Fairview background check, and Fairview/Human Services background
  • Basic computer literacy required
  • Must be able to pass CPR and First Aid testing or First Responder
  • Must be able to pass baton, handcuffing, and chemical agent training within 60 days of completion of orientation
  • Must be able to pass Fairview Behavior Control training (BCS)
  • Completion of Incident Command (ICS) 100, 200, 700, & 800 within 1 year of hire
  • Must be able to pass Taser training
  • International Association for Hospital Safety and Security Certification required within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hospital Security or Military Service
  • AA Degree
