About This Role

Axos Bank is seeking a Senior Marketing Campaign Strategist to drive our always-on marketing programs for the Consumer Bank. As a senior-level management role, this position will be responsible for improving customer lifetime value across acquisition, onboarding, engagement, cross-sell, retention, and win-back phases.

The ideal candidate has deep experience running audience-based campaigns across multiple channels, using test-and-learn methodologies, and has a high degree of comfort in being accountable for full-funnel results, including profitability and vintage analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Taking full ownership of direct marketing campaigns to support strategic initiatives and ongoing efforts across various lifecycle phases.
  • Developing and managing the always-on marketing campaign calendar to ensure products, services, and engagement communications are consistently delivered with proper frequency and audience guardrails in place.
  • Becoming a subject matter expert on first- and third-party data sources available to marketing for research, segmentation, reporting, and analysis, suggesting new sources when applicable.
  • Selecting, monitoring, and adjusting key target audiences to maximize response and overall share of wallet, working with supporting teams to develop and leverage machine learning and propensity modeling.
  • Translating campaign results into actionable insights, driving business decisions, and informing future marketing strategies.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in a marketing role with a proven track record of developing, executing, testing, and reporting on direct marketing campaigns, plus 4+ years directly managing marketing staff.
  • Retail financial services industry experience, either for personal banking or small/medium enterprise (business) banking; or other regulated industry.
  • High degree of comfort and experience in requesting and analyzing complex data sets for the purpose of audience segmentation, campaign results reporting, and customer lifecycle/vintage KPIs.
  • Demonstrated self-starter with ability to manage multiple team members and complex processes.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize work demands that have frequently changing priorities and deadlines.
