Housekeeper (Full Time) Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Good Samaritan Hospital. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform light cleaning duties, including making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls, and vacuuming.
  • Provide quality customer service to customers by providing one-on-one attention to detail.
  • Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors, as well as vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.
  • Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery, and dust and polish furniture and fittings.
  • Empties and cleans trash containers, and disposes of trash in a sanitary manner.
  • Cleans wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers, and wipes down glass surfaces.
  • Makes up beds and changes linens as required, and realigns furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout.
  • Responds to guest queries and requests, and responds to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses.
  • Contributes to team efforts, and exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow associates, and others.
Requirements:
  • No previous experience is required.
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule, with open availability and rotating weekends preferred.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, as well as stand for long periods of time.
