About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our team at Vail Valley Animal Hospital, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support veterinarians in delivering high-quality patient care, advocating for pets, and educating clients.
  • Assist with surgeries, procedures, and laboratory tests, ensuring compliance with state Veterinary Practice Acts.
  • Communicate effectively with clients about individualized pet health concerns, offering guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records, utilizing practice systems to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to maximize productivity, maintain positive patient flow, and provide exceptional customer service.
Requirements
  • 2 years of continuous veterinary technician/assistant experience, with direct animal/patient care required.
  • LVT, RVT, or CVT licensure (current licensure required).
  • Ability to work 3 or 4 days off, with a desire to practice empathetic, gold-standard medicine.
  • Team-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to grow and advance as a veterinary technician, with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
