Job Title: Sales Representative

This position is responsible for growing top-line sales at assigned Lowe's stores within a geographic territory through the implementation of sales and marketing programs, training activities, and service and merchandising responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish strong selling relationships with store associates, store management, and other district managers
  • Continually promote and represent the brand and product strengths to Lowe's associates, customers, and contractors
  • Utilize the CRM system to document sales calls and store visits
  • Conduct contractor events to promote products and increase sales
  • Ensure promotions, pricing, and signage are set appropriately in each store
  • Prepare Annual Grow Plan (AGP) for assigned stores in territory that meet or exceed sales and profit goals
Training and Development:
  • Conduct product knowledge (PK) training sessions for current and newly hired Lowe's associates
  • Training should include features, benefits, as well as selling skills and may include a demo of the products
  • Products include Valspar, HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams, Purdy, Minwax, Cabot, Thompson's Waterseal, White Lightning, DIY Paint, and Contractor Paint
  • Conduct sales training for current and newly hired Lowe's associates
  • Promotional Display training to Lowe's associates
  • Training on how to conduct a 'color conversation' with customers
  • Train store associates on equipment, such as tinting machines
Service and Merchandising:
  • Assist store associates with tinting/mixing paint as needed
  • Department review of all SW products
  • Review all products on the shelf to ensure products are fully stocked and properly displayed
  • Replace defective products (dents, labels, etc.)
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
  • 1+ years of previous experience in customer service, sales, marketing, or other business-related fields
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends with up to 9 Saturdays per year
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Strong Organizational and Communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish
  • Conducting presentations to groups of employees
  • Experience in sales, customer service, or merchandising
  • Ability to work independently
  • P&L/Budget Management
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis
  • Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to climb and descend stairs
  • Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing
Technical/Skill Requirements:
  • Must have the ability to learn to operate the in-store tinting machines
  • Must be able to operate an iPhone and computer
Travel Requirements:
  • 50% or more (May be less, depending on Geographic Region)
