- Permit Processing: Manage the submission of permit and project applications, ensuring all required information is accurate for plan review and fee assessment.
- Utility Coordination: Secure utility permits, manage taps, and handle all associated fees for construction or renovation projects.
- Effective Communication: Engage with various local government entities, utility companies, and state agencies in a professional and courteous manner, utilizing clear verbal and written communication.
- Inspection Coordination: Receive and schedule building inspection requests, coordinating with relevant construction and real estate teams.
- Document Management: Deliver and organize building and civil plans for the appropriate agencies, maintaining an orderly record system in the office.
- Administrative Support: Assist with departmental tasks including answering calls, drafting correspondence and reports, scanning documents, filing, and maintaining records.
- Reporting: Prepare weekly reports related to the permit review process.
- Event Assistance: Support the department in special events and projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Associates degree or equivalent experience is required.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with government agencies or utility companies is advantageous. Familiarity with software tools such as Esri GIS, Energov, and Blueprint is beneficial but not mandatory.
