About the Job

We are looking for a talented Research Agreements Associate to join our team at Duke University. The successful candidate will have a strong background in research administration, contract negotiation, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

The Research Agreements Associate will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing and negotiating research agreements to ensure compliance with federal regulations and university policies.
  • Drafting and processing subagreements consistent with SOM policies and procedures.
  • Coordinating agreement issues with other Duke central offices to ensure project approvals and compliance requirements are met.
Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree (JD or paralegal preferred) and a minimum of three years of relevant experience in contracting or research in an academic setting.
  • Strong knowledge of federal grant regulations and policies, including financial research compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
