Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of all property, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and equipment to identify potential issues and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Facilities Management: Work closely with contractors and vendors to maintain and repair facilities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Work Order Management: Receive, manage, and process work order requests, ensuring timely resolution of issues and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure that safety standards are followed throughout the facility, maintaining a safe and functional environment for staff, congregation, and visitors.
  • Event Support: Set up and tear down rooms for church events and rentals, including basic AV equipment, to ensure seamless execution.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Attend weekly staff meetings and monthly Buildings and Grounds Team meetings to stay informed and contribute to the team's efforts.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills: Technical, vocational, or on-the-job training in at least one of the following areas: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills, able to work collegially with staff and congregation, and a professional attitude and commitment to quality work and service.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Self-motivated and able to work independently without direct supervision, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
