Position Summary:
The Finishing Operator is responsible for the effective preparation, operation, and maintenance of assigned finishing machinery (including tape layers, tackers, laminators, die-cutters, inspection equipment, hot stamping, and more) under the guidance of the Finishing Shift Lead or Finishing Manager. This role ensures the production and timely delivery of high-quality plastic secured cards that meet customer specifications and company quality standards.


Work Schedule:
Monday to Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Compensation:
Hourly rate of $18.20

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate assigned machinery according to specific work instructions and hands-on training.
  • Ensure accurate machine setup, operation, and material handling based on product specifications.
  • Monitor and address any quality issues during production runs to minimize downtime and waste.
  • Perform minor preventative maintenance and report mechanical issues to the Finishing Shift Lead or Finishing Manager.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work in the shop floor data system and/or manual forms.
  • Complete necessary audit documentation based on job stages and equipment used.
  • Adhere to ISO 9001:2000 certification standards in all responsibilities.
  • Stage completed products with appropriate job ticket information.
  • Keep materials and supplies stocked and notify management of inventory needs.
  • Meet productivity, quality, service, spoilage, security, and safety goals.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner, emphasizing teamwork, quality, and timeliness.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one year of experience in machine operation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to select and utilize appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Proficient math skills for calculating percentages, proportions, and measurements.
  • Detail-oriented with strong decision-making abilities for equipment setup and quality checks.
  • Able to interpret written, oral, and diagram instructions.
  • Must prioritize security and safety.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Basic English communication skills are necessary.

Physical Requirements:
Work involves standing, walking, bending, stooping, pulling, climbing, and lifting materials up to 50 lbs.
