Production Scheduler

Meridian Adhesives Group is a rapidly growing full service global adhesive solutions provider, specializing in adhesive technologies used in electronics, industrial, and infrastructure applications.
Job Summary: We are seeking a Production Scheduler to support the planning and scheduling of raw materials, utilizing MRP to order and maintain necessary stock levels required for production requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of instructions and SOP's regarding purchasing systems and procedures.
- Analyze inventory turns and levels for each product line with the Sales Department and determine appropriate stock levels for each warehouse location according to a Just-in-Time approach.
- Assist with regularly scheduled cycle counts and physical inventory counts.
- Provide effective and timely production schedules to maintain adequate amounts of finished product.
- Accurate and timely posting of batch tickets.
- Posts completed production, analyzes formula changes and corrects used quantities as required.
- Schedule usage of production materials to ensure optimal production levels.
- Evaluate suppliers or quality, timeliness and match according to goals.
- Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage.
- Identify and resolve problems relating to inventory.
- Forecast market challenges based on competitor analysis and industry trends.
- Address issues regarding quality and production.
- Produce reports based on findings and performance of production.
- Manage deadlines based on project expectations.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Materials Management, Business Administration or Logistics preferred.
- Five plus years of manufacturing planning or scheduling experience.
- Experience with ERP software (SAP, Oracle, Process Pro SAGE etc.).
- Project management skills preferred.
- Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Teams, & Excel.
- Proven ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to multi-task, and remain calm and courteous, responding to internal and external customers in a professional manner.
- Strong analytical ability including problem-solving, organizational skills, and detail-orientation.
