Job Objective

Provide exceptional customer service to donors at the donation door in a store. Maintain a clean and well-organized donation area. Handle each transaction with accuracy and efficiency.

Essential Functions

This job description outlines the essential functions and requirements of the position. Other job-related responsibilities and tasks may be assigned. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.

Present a professional appearance, adhering to the dress code at all times.

Maintain a friendly demeanor, greeting donors and offering assistance when needed.

Maintain a clean and well-organized donation area, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.

Responsible for all operations and security matters while on duty.

Receive and receipt all donated materials, ensuring that email addresses are obtained from donors when possible.

Safeguard all donated materials and assigned equipment.

Track donations according to center policy.

Courteously advise donors of unacceptable materials and offer pick-up services for heavy items.

Power sort donations as they come in, when applicable.

Report complaints, damage, and injuries occurring on or near the donation area for which The Salvation Army may become liable.

Sort, load, and unload SA trucks according to center policy.

Support production processes as needed, with a flexible schedule.
