Nursing Operations Manager

Role Summary:
The Nursing Operations Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of care provided to residents. This position collaborates closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) to ensure the effective implementation of the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. The incumbent will analyze performance metrics and clinical outcomes, recommending and overseeing process improvements to elevate service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the DON in refining and executing the QAPI program, focusing on community performance metrics and clinical outcomes.
- Work alongside the Quality Team to develop innovative clinical programs that address the evolving needs of residents, ensuring positive health outcomes.
- Serve as a liaison among residents, families, and staff, addressing inquiries and providing comprehensive information regarding nursing care and services.
- Conduct investigations into allegations of abuse or neglect, ensuring compliance with reporting protocols to appropriate leadership and authorities.
- Support medical staff with physician orders, patient visits, and wound care management.
- Collaborate with the DON in formulating the annual nursing department budget, providing insights on personnel and medical equipment expenditures.
- Engage in community outreach initiatives to promote the services offered by Lutheran Homes Society, Inc. and its dedicated staff.
- Facilitate staff training and educational programs to enhance team competencies.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Nursing.

Qualifications:
- Must possess a current RN License in the State of Ohio.
- An Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- 2-3 years of nursing management experience is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with Matrix software is advantageous.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills are essential.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
