We are seeking a seasoned Service Manager to lead our fast-paced Service Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize service department performance, including staffing, customer retention, cost controls, and objective achievement.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to prepare and administer the annual operating budget for the service department.
  • Maintain accurate reporting systems and ensure compliance with factory and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and control department performance using relevant reports, tracking systems, and surveys.
  • Ensure a clean and organized service department and customer waiting area.
  • Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local regulations affecting service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
  • Manage technician productivity reports and payroll records.
  • Coordinate with the parts manager to ensure timely parts orders.
  • Review and initial repair orders before submitting them to the warranty department.
  • Focus on high-quality service repairs and minimize comebacks.
  • Maintain accurate customer service files and ensure timely follow-up with customers.
  • Address customer complaints promptly and according to dealership guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain 24-hour follow-up with customers to confirm satisfaction with the service experience.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years' experience as a Service Advisor.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Service Manager or Service Director, preferably with Mercedes-Benz.
  • Relocation assistance available.
