Job Title: Director of Finance

Convergint Federal Solutions is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to lead our financial operations and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to create long-term financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to guide business growth and profitability.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and variance analysis.
  • Provide senior management with clear and concise financial insights to support decision-making.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Present actionable recommendations to optimize operational efficiency, revenue generation, and cost management.
  • Evaluate financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Implement robust internal controls, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, provide guidance, and facilitate professional development.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Streamline processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities, manage capital allocation, and assess ROI on various projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to make informed decisions on resource allocation.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in financial technology and tools.
  • Identify opportunities to implement systems and tools that improve financial processes, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, parent company finance and accounting leads, auditors, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of federal contracting and government financial regulations such as CAS and GAAP is required.
  • Experience with DCMA / DCAA requirements and preparing, reviewing, and/or approving applicable documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis, utilizing tools such as ERP systems, Advanced Excel, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and financial modeling software - Deltek Costpoint System, GSA contract execution, percent of completion revenue recognition, and the various federal invoicing processes.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to mentor and develop a finance team.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal.
  • High level of integrity, ethics, and accountability.
