Salary: $68,000 - $91,000.00

Role Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical Surgical unit will deliver comprehensive care to patients, managing a varied patient caseload while focusing on high-quality service. This position necessitates clinical proficiency, effective communication skills, and a dedication to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care:
    • Evaluate, plan, implement, and assess patient care in a medical-surgical environment.
    • Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and execute necessary treatments.
    • Educate patients and their families to ensure understanding of care plans and health management.
  • Clinical Duties:
    • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to create and execute personalized patient care plans.
    • Perform routine and emergency procedures as needed, following best practices and safety guidelines.
    • Accurately document patient care activities, assessments, and outcomes in a timely manner.
  • Coordination & Communication:
    • Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide clear and precise information regarding patient care.
    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care and service delivery.
  • Quality & Compliance:
    • Comply with all regulatory and institutional policies and procedures.
    • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining high standards of patient care.
  • Professional Development:
    • Remain updated with medical and nursing best practices through ongoing education and professional development.
    • Pursue long-term career objectives within the nursing field and healthcare sector.
Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Licensure & Certification:
    • Current RN license for the State of Kentucky.
  • Experience:
    • Prior experience in a medical-surgical setting is preferred, but not mandatory.
    • Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and long-term career aspirations in nursing.
  • Skills & Attributes:
    • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical-surgical nursing practices.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
