The Production Test Engineer (PTE) plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for validating and ensuring compliance of prime hardware to technical data package requirements and supporting test equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and provide accurate rework instructions for product hardware.
- Develop and maintain spares and test equipment obsolescence plans.
- Create Basis of Estimates (BOE) to estimate costs for adding capacity, new capabilities, and equipment obsolescence.
- Lead projects to reduce test time, improve test processes, and analyze predictive metrics of trends, failure modes, and test yields.
- Develop test flows and contribute to test capacity analysis.
- Maintain changes to test equipment technical data packages, including drawings, test instructions, test position manuals, and system software.
- Assist in non-routine fault isolation, diagnosis, and repair of products or test equipment.
- Lead root cause and corrective action investigations and present findings using fault trees and knowledge point plans.
- Perform risk assessments and support program risk register reviews.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with emphasis in testing or manufacturing engineering.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship.
- Experience with hands-on hardware integration and troubleshooting.
- Experience in manufacturing environments.
- Experience with technical writing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to develop sustaining solutions to routine technical problems.
- Ability to lead and mentor junior PTEs.
- Experience with interpretation of technical documentation.
- Experience with project execution.
- Experience with data analysis.
